I
I hold a degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in biochemistry. After graduating, I worked for 7 years at a Research Institute of Biology while earning a second degree in Biochemistry.
With over 15 years of experience in Further Education's science department, I have immersed myself in nutrition, creating a sustainable lifestyle that has improved my physical, mental, and social well-being.
I graduated from the College of Naturopathic Medicine after 3 years of study and have successfully helped many clients since then. I am an accredited Nutritional Therapist and nutrigenomics practitioner, a member of the British Association of Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT), and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). I am fully insured as a nutritional therapist.
Due to a combination of factors, including two pregnancies and a busy daily schedule, my weight peaked at over 100kg. At 162cm tall, I was classified as obese on the BMI scale. My blood pressure was dangerously high, I was prediabetic, and I frequently indulged in multiple tubs of Ben and Jerry's in one sitting, which was delicious but detrimental to my health. My quality of life was far from where I wanted it to be.
Determined to make a change, I began studying and researching how my body was functioning. Through lots of trial and error, I gradually changed my lifestyle and managed to lose around 35kg healthily. I achieved new goals, such as running a 5k weekly at Parkrun, completing several 10k runs, and signing up for numerous hikes—26 in the last year alone!
